BALANCE CUSHION

Sit on a balance cushion and lean your upper body back slightly to activate your core. Now lift your legs and slowly extend them outward. Hold the position, or move a small ball in a figure-eight motion through bent legs.

STANDING SCALE

Start by standing on one leg, lift the other leg and bend it. Then lean your upper body forward while simultaneously extending the lifted leg behind you. From head to heel, the body should form a straight line. Perform slowly. Balance tip: brush your teeth standing on one leg!

DOWNWARD DOG & COBRA

Start in a tabletop position. Lift the knees, straighten your legs and arms. Your hips should be the highest point—this creates a triangle shape, also known as the yoga pose “downward dog.” Then, lie on your stomach for the cobra: lift your upper body, support yourself with your palms, arch your back and stretch. Inhale during the dog pose, exhale during cobra.

AIR CYCLING

A classic that’s stood the test of time: lie on your back, lift your legs, and pedal in the air. It not only strengthens the core but also works the legs effectively.

PEZZY BALL

Lie on your stomach on a Pezzy (exercise) ball. It’s a great way to train full-body tension. One by one, lift your hands and feet off the ground. It may feel unstable at first, but it’s excellent for strengthening the core and back. Kneeling on the ball is also a fun challenge.
