Sleeping in – the Familife happiness booster.
What? – During the week, the alarm clock rings too early for many, forcing them to drag themselves out of bed while still tired. Sleeping in doesn’t necessarily mean waking up late, but rather sleeping until you wake up naturally, without an alarm.
Why? – When we don’t get enough sleep, our body doesn’t have sufficient time to complete important metabolic processes and cell repairs. Sleep deprivation leaves us more irritable, less focused, and hungrier.
How? – The German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine recommends the following: Avoid caffeine after midday. Skip heavy evening meals. Minimise or avoid alcohol. Refrain from strenuous activities before bedtime. Establish a calming ritual before going to bed.
When? – Sleep duration is individual, often ranging from seven to eight hours. You can wake up feeling well-rested even early in the morning if your personal sleep needs are met. On average, women tend to sleep slightly longer than men.
With What? – Apps can track nightly rest and determine the optimal time to wake up. If possible, try skipping the alarm for 14 days to discover your natural sleep duration. The best way to learn how to sleep in is simply by practising it!
You stay a minimum of 7 nights alone with your kids in the room of your choice and pay the rate for just an adult and the standard children’s price.
